The Trail
Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is the largest
golf course construction project ever attempted. The Trail is a collection of 468 holes of championship golf on 11 different sites across Alabama. The Wall Street Journal said the Trail "may be the biggest bargain in the country" and
The New York Times called the Trail "some of the best public golf on Earth."
The map below shows the location of the Trail sites. You can view more information about each site by clicking the buttons
or golf balls.
Trail Weather
Alabama is blessed with warmth and sunshine for the greater part of the year, particularly in the southern part of the state. Spring arrives early, with the weather warming to the 60s daily by March throughout the state. Summer days average in the 80s. Sweaters or jackets will usually keep the chill off
during winter months.
Mileage Between Trail Sites
Most Trail sites are near an interstate or federal highway and directions are easily marked by green highway signs.
Each Trail site is within a two-hour drive of at least one other
site, making it possible to play many locations during a vacation on
the Trail or playing more than one location in a day!
