From The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail For Your Help
On March 1, 2007, the city of Enterprise and the
surrounding area in southeastern
Alabama
were devastated by a deadly tornado. The Robert Trent
Jones Golf Trail asked for your support in helping the
victims of this disaster by donating all proceeds the week following the
disaster from the sale of RTJ Trail Cards and Passports
to Enterprise High School. With your generosity, the RTJ
Golf Trail was able to raise nearly $70,000 to
contribute to the disaster relief.
More Praise For RTJ
The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail
is praised highly in the national golf magazines in
March. Be sure to read
the six-page article on the Trail
in the current issue of Golf For Women.
Three courses on the Trail were ranked among the
50 Toughest Courses in the Country by Golf
Digest. The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail was the only
collection with three courses on the list, including
Silver Lakes in Anniston/Gadsden, The Shoals at Muscle
Shoals/Florence, and Ross Bridge in Hoover.
Also, Golf Magazine named the short drive from Atlanta to the
RTJ courses at Silver Lakes as one of four "great golf
road trips." Call 1.800.949.4444 or visit
www.rtjgolf.com
to take your own trip to the Trail.

Historic Battle House Hotel Reopens May 11 In Mobile
Mobile’s most historic hotel is getting more than a
facelift. The spirit of the grand dame is being
maintained while modern conveniences such as wireless
internet accessibility, European-styled spa and
updated
guest rooms with luxury baths will provide the comforts
demanded by today’s savvy travelers. The 238-room blends
history with modern luxuries and will reopen May 11,
2007. The original eight-story hotel, which first opened
in 1852, is connected to the sleek, state-of-the-art RSA
Battle House Hotel, the tallest building in Alabama and
along the Gulf Coast. The Battle House and nearby
Riverview Plaza will both be Renaissance hotels and are
minutes from RTJ’s Magnolia Grove courses. The hotels
are part of the Resort Collection on Alabama’s Robert
Trent Jones Golf Trail.
The Battle House Hotel will feature an array of dining
options, from the 100-seat Trellis Room, with its
awe-inspiring cathedral ceilings and upscale show
kitchen. Diners can enjoy regional and continental
cuisine. The Royal Street Lounge will be the perfect
place to celebrate after a great round of golf. The
ornate Crystal Ballroom and the hotel’s magnificent
lobby are truly architectural gems. For more information

RSA Hotels Recognized As Marriott's Best
Just four months after completely reopening, the Grand Hotel Marriott
Resort, Golf Club & Spa in Point Clear, Alabama was
named #1 out of 343 full service Marriott and JW
Marriott Hotels in North America for customer service.
The Grand Hotel is not the only RSA-owned hotel receiving accolades from Marriott.
In 2006, Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa
in Birmingham was named the top Renaissance hotel in the
world for guest satisfaction, style and golf.
The Marriott Shoals Hotel & Spa in Florence was ranked
as the top Marriott golf resort for customer
satisfaction. The Spa at the Shoals, as well as the Spa
at the Grand Hotel, were both named in Marriott's top 10
spas in North America.
In central Alabama, the RSA-owned hotels in Prattville and Opelika
have both been honored for their improvement efforts.
The Montgomery Marriott Prattville Hotel & Conference Center at
Capitol Hill won Most Improved Associate Excellence
in Marriott for 2006. In addition to improving the
excellence of their employees, the hotel is currently
adding an additional ballroom and making restaurant
renovations. In Opelika, the Auburn Marriott Opelika
Hotel and Conference Center at Grand
National just completed a major renovation and was
named one of the "best locations for meetings" by
readers of ConventionSouth. The Marriott Shoals
also received this ConventionSouth honor.
