Beginner Classes Register OnlineSaturdays 7:00-8:00 am (until November 2013) and Wednesdays 6:00-7:00 pm (until November 2013)
These lessons span a 10-week period designed to teach you all the basic skills for you to enjoy your time on the golf course. Begin the classes at any time and move at your own speed. Two classes are offered each week, one on the weekend and one on a weekday evening. You can attend both.
Skills taught in the classes are putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, half and the full swing. Each session a skill will be taught and the following session you will be tested on the retention of that skill. After passing the test, you move on to the next skill. If not, you will work that session on perfecting the existing skill. At the end of the course, you will be tested on all the skills in a big test. These skills will be short and lag putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play, full swing with an iron, full swing with a wood and the rules of golf. If you pass, you will receive a graduation present of four free rounds on the Short Course at Oxmoor Valley. Obviously, this is a great incentive and will allow you to put your new skills into practice.
